Kicking Back and Connecting: Daystar Joins the First-Ever ForeverLawn Texas Kickball Tournament

Let’s just say… we’re finally walking without a limp again.

Last week, the Daystar team had the pleasure of participating in ForeverLawn Texas’ first-ever Kickball Tournament, held at the beautiful Frisco RoughRiders field. From start to finish, it was a day packed with sunshine, great people, friendly competition, and a few unexpected athletic feats (we won’t name names, but someone definitely slid into first base like it was Game 7 of the World Series).

The event brought together a wide range of companies from across the industry — a chance to step away from our typical work boots and meet fellow professionals in a more laid-back setting. We talked shop, swapped stories, shared laughs, and even managed to kick the ball a few times without injuring ourselves.

We want to give a big shoutout to ForeverLawn Texas for organizing such a fun and well-run event. It’s not every day you get to network on a baseball field with great food, a cool breeze, and the perfect dose of competition.

Congratulations to Crossland Construction for taking home the championship trophy — you earned it! And kudos to all the teams that showed up and showed out. From Millis Development & Construction to City of McKinney, Parkhill, SWA, Swinerton Builders, CORE, TNP, TBG Partners, Claycomb Associates, and of course, our amazing hosts ForeverLawn Texas — it was a day well spent.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s tournament… and we’ll be sure to stretch this time.
